Hosting a Bike Drive

Is one of the best ways you can support Two Bikes. Each bike is carefully refurbished and used in our Pedal It Forward program, providing free and affordable transportation options to the community

Bike Drive FAQ’s

  • Yes, Two Bikes is a 501(c)3 organization, and all donations are tax deductible.

  • Yes, we will provide donation receipts. We ask that you provide the carbon copy to Two Bikes, so we can keep track of each donation.

  • You can promote the bike drive in a variety of ways. Social media works pretty well, and posting on your neighborhood association seems to work really well for us! The best thing to do is to call, text, and email your community and ask them to help spread the word.

  • Great question! We accept all bicycles, parts, and accessories regardless of condition. So an old bike that needs some work - absolutely! Your old roller-skates? Unfortunately not.

  • In our experience, hosting a bike drive for a week long period works really well. Try using somewhere that has staff onsite, so a school, religious organization, or business all work really well.

If you don’t have a place that fits your description you could host a one day bike drive in a public park! Get creative, and we really appreciate your help.

  • It depends. We’d love to help promote the event, but we don’t have enough staff to have someone at each bike drive, but please reach out and ask. If we have an extra set of hands we would love to be there.

  • Great question. Please communicate with our team, and we’ll help arrange transportation. If you have a trailer or a friend or two with a truck, that helps a lot!
